Scout Skills 

November 11th

Cub Scout Pack 405 has invited Pack 408 to a Scout Skills event on November 11th at Fort Washington State Park (Campsite “A”).  Setting up a tent, camp cooking, knot-tying and mechanics of starting a fire are only a few skills that will be displayed at this event. Participating in this event is entirely optional, but it's not only a ton of fun, but also offers valuable opportunities for learning.

Pack Meeting

November 16th

During the November Pack meeting, our Cubs will embark on the construction of the Ambler Holiday Parade float, inspired by the beloved Disney movie "Up," which serves as this year's theme.

Here is the list of items needed for constructing the float.

• Cardboard boxes
• Box cutters (for adults) Scissors for kids 
• Paint brushes

Scouting for Food

Leaf Raking

November 18th

Scouting for Food is one of nation’s largest food drives that Cub Scouts, Scouts, and Venturers participate in to support their local food pantries and hunger-relief agencies.

During the November 9th Den Meeting, your Cub will be receive door hangers. If you can't make the meeting please contact your Den Leader. We encourage families to distribute at least 10 door hangers. Personal notes on the hangers really help engage your scouts and draw in the donations. 

Scouts are to distribute door hangers the weekend of November 11th and pick up food items on November 18. Donations can be brought to our Fall Social and Service Activity taking place from 9:00 - 10:30 am at Trinity Lutheran Church. 

Families are welcome to stay for all or part of the time to help us rake leaves on the church lawn. We will be serving fall breakfast treats - please sign up here to help us plan!
